Wild About Retail does Proust 2011

Vanity Fair has this very interesting section which is devoted to the Proust Questionnaire. Said to reveal a person's true nature, this questionnaire is actually a 19th century parlor game popularized by the French essayist Marcel Proust. I find it amazing and very enticing to answer. It's also very general so you can answer so much, yet it kind of tells you to be specific.

I first encountered the Proust Questionnaire while I was reading Frances' blog. She mentioned that Vanity Fair got old people to answer the questionnaire because they have experienced a lot in life. I'm not that old yet but I've been walking and breathing on the Earth's surface for quite some time now. I think that's enough reason for me to have experience in life!

So enough blabber, here's my first take on the Proust Questionnaire. Hope you can share your answers too!

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Long talks under the sheets. Nothing beats honesty and randomness while you're in your comfort zone.

What is your greatest fear?

I dread two things- one is loss. Losing a loved one, losing a pitch, losing loads of money, losing to a great challenge, losing a person to another, any kind of loss.

Second is... flying cockroaches. I hate hearing their helicopter-like wings when they hover about 2 meters above your head. Kalurks ng bongga!

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

I don't have a name in mind. Maybe in a few years, I can dish out an answer.

Which living person do you most admire?

Heidi Klum - a woman of style, eloquence, and perfect figure.

I want a man who are firm in their decisions. Kinda makes them give off an authority vibe.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?

The only man who can drive about 15 miles just to pick me up and eat spicy wings and burgers together.

Everything that I've achieved right now is great, but not yet on a max level. Give me a few months, and I'd definitely give you a list of my greatest achievements.

  1. I think it's nice to take this now then a couple years later and see how much you've changed (or not).
