Seven Wants

Seven things that I want in my life:

7. Shoes, shoes, shoes!

Who can not resist shoes?? I firmly believe that a girl can never have too many shoes. As long as they're comfy and stylish, those shoes are staying in my closet!

6. Power to teleport

There are a lot of places that I want to go to, but the problem is I don't have much time to travel with all the work! So if I have the power to teleport, I can grab a bite at Gray's Papaya for lunch, then off to Manila to do some work, and then rush to California for some Boiling Crab stuff (yes I think too much about food). It's something weird to want, but hey a person can want for free!

5. Cute babies

One of my wishes in life is to have cute babies. A LOT of cute babies. I want to squish and hug and smell them all day long. And I wish they won't grow up too fast!

4. Thrill

Because we are always running for the thrill of it, thrill of it! Life, that is.

3. Clothes

It would be boring if my closet will just comprise of awesome shoes, no? So I'll want clothes to go with them!

2. Purses

.... and designer purses to keep my shoes and clothes company.

1. Love

When my friends ask me what I want to eat and what I want to do, I always answer something that connects to love. Who doesn't want love, anyways? I think I'll never get tired of wanting it.

Welcome online, Ferretti!

Today's a handful of firsts! First day of September and the start of the -ber months, which means you can all start doing a holiday countdown! Also, today marks the first day of Ferretti on the online world. Ferretti deserves a big big cyber hug! :)

Ferretti now has an online store that brings all the brand's latest shoe collection (and even accessories) closer to you, without stepping out of your comfort zone!

Retail Of The Moment: Ruthie Davis Fall/Winter 2011 Shoes

So wow-ed by the edgy statement of Ruthie Davis heels. Who can't resist these shiny-as-glass babies?

I'm lusting over the F/W11 shoes of Ruthie Davis, especially the spikes. It can totally flip out any boring outfit to a head-turner! I like this sky high pair- it's so punk!

Jeffrey Campbell S/S 2011 Lookbook

Snaps overload after the jump!

Louboutin x Marchesa for Autumn 2011

During NYFW weeks ago, Louboutin was tasked to create footwear to go with Marchesa's runway collection for Autumn 2011.

Retail Of The Moment: Lace Up Swedish Hasbeens Booties

The name Swedish Hasbeens is very known for making sturdy clogs. I started liking their lineup from the moment they released their collab work with H&M. For this 2011 Autumn, Swedish Hasbeens made a few pieces that are very vintage. The brand made sure that the shoes gave a retro feel- something that tweaks the usual Hasbeens look.

Out of the seven designs that their Autumn 2011 has, this is the one that I like.

Super chica, right?

Retail Of The Moment: Armani Prive Spring 2011

The Armani Prive collection of shoes and accessories for Spring 2011 did a great job in spinning off from Armani's previous autumn couture collection.

The glittery shoes, architectural jewelry, and warm gems definitely shouts punky with class. Or better yet, super fashion forward! Armani Prive highly reminds me of Tron Legacy- sorry, I'm that odd. If you've seen the film, I bet you'll slightly agree with me, yes?

I mean, just look at this neckpiece. It's oozing with style and structure! A design with an edgy structure always gives a futuristic feel to the piece.

More Armani Prive pieces after the jump!

Retail Of The Moment: Swedish Hasbeens x H&M

Famous clog brand Swedish Hasbeens is doing collab work with one of the world's fashion stalwart, H&M. Set for the Spring season, the H&M x Swedish Hasbeens display a style full of fun, creativity, and environment-friendly- something new to the fashion industry!

Modern Vintage S/S 2011

If you notice my previous outfit posts, I always wear wedges.

Personally, I lover wearing shoes with a wedge heel. It gives me ultra-height, plus it doesn't put pressure on the arch of my heel!

I spotted Modern Vintage's new wedge collection for Spring/Summer 2011, and they are to die for!!!

Retail Of The Moment: YSL Love Ballerinas

Whoever said that a girl can't have enough shoes, must be friends with Mr. Yves! Yves Saint Laurent just released a new line of flat shoes called Love Ballerinas- flat shoes shaped like ballet toe shoes made of patent leather with a heart cut-out. Now ain't that pretty!

The YSL Love Ballerinas are available in 12 colors, and can be purchased online. I bet these ballerina shoes will be a hit this coming year!

I need a soft launch!

I've been a Sperry fan ever since I started walking. I'd often wear my dad's boat shoes and fall around the house because my feet were insanely tiny (then). I thought I was so fasyon already- me in my cartoony playclothes plus my dad's neat Topsiders. Never thought that boat shoes would always be on style!

To reminisce the good ol' days, I slipped on my very own pair of Sperry's today to match my striped white shirt and cutoff denims. I had to get them from a kids shoe store, even though my feet are crazy long and thin.

Anyways, The Shala Girl is now on Tumblr! Sorry for the announcement delay but I have been busy with so many things (shipping boxes, work, etc.) that all I could do was change the layout of this blog. So from now on chicas, The Shala Girl will be blogging here and there! I'll try my best to go back to regular programming ASAP. I'm lunging myself to a lot of things (hint: textile) so that I can share a lot of mod chattels!

Here's to the soft launch! LOL maybe I need to do something xxxtra when I get a formal domain!
