Bright & Print

It's weird how the weather is supposed to be really hot and humid, but this morning I walked under the heavy rain.

Nonetheless, I'm grateful for the water droplets from the sky. It made the atmosphere have a slightly chilly temperature- so I brought out my tights! They're very bright and perfect for a "summer peg".

Walked around in brights and print, which caught sharp looks. I really don't know if I should appreciate it. But then, I saw the upcoming cover of Preview and guess who's in it? Queen Mother, Divine Lee! She's wearing print with orange tones, so I guess I wore the right thing!

Pouncing on desserts!

Last weekend, I took another trip to Enderun Colleges at McKinley Hill to conquer my favorite challenge: DESSERT BUFFET!! Actually it was Enderun's Pastry demo, but more about that on the next post. Here's what I wore:

tube top (Topshop) | skinny jeans (Forever 21) | satchel (Frances Sales)

Hello Kitty x Forever 21

Every little girl's favorite character is Hello Kitty (or at least one of the favorites) and I bet she's one of your favorites, too! Even though we're all big girls now, we still love the cutie kitty cat and her pretty red bow. Forever 21 loves Hello Kitty too! Since being 21 forever is about being young at heart (forevaaaah!), they incorporated Hello Kitty on some of their pieces!

Nothing but your t-shirt on!

Got this shirt in Bangkok and I never really got to wear it! So when I woke up one morning, I decided to pull this out of my closet and throw it in. When I got to my work table, I plopped down my seat, and everyone asked me if I went home last night. I was like, what?? Then someone had to break the idea to me in the most 'inappropriate' way...

"It's the after-*bleep* shirt!!"

GREAT.

Everything's Full Today

Today's quite a handful for me: made some decks, shot a short spiel, and headed to a meeting/interview. I'm really looking forward to the 4-day weekend because I am assuming (and really really expecting) to receive only a few e-mails from people. So, a full day for me.. this calls for a full skirt! I wore a full skirt for today's hump day Wednesday. This piece is so versatile, I already used this as a full dress and it still covered my entire legs.

I love how it made me look soooooo tall. The skirt was flowy, too. In fact, it was too flowy that I had to hold it whenever I walk. That made me look like I was going to Prom! Lol

Forever 21 SM Makati SALE

This morning, I decided to get a different kind of breakfast. Instead of my usual waffles & bacon tandem, I had a full plate of Forever 21 to start my day!

Forever 21 SM Makati has an ongoing 3-day sale which starts today. I headed to their big corner store at around 8.30am to get first dibs on their precious pieces that are tagged with yellow discount tabs.

Pleats, Please

I grew up wearing pleats 5 times a week, for the whole duration of my basic and secondary education. I had to love and own it, lest I wanted to look like a recruited French chambermaid.

So when I whipped out my pleated shorts (that actually looks like a skirt), I felt like a schoolgirl again. I took the outfit seriously and channeled a scholarly look. Achieve!!

Dressed Down in Bangkok

My blog has been out of it since last week, I blame everything to good spicy food and chic affordable clothing in Bangkok. I can't express how much I am in la-la-loooove with the city! New York still tops my list but if you're cray-cray about cheap price tags, Bangkok is your Krypton.

I'll probably be flooding my blog with Bangkok entries and whatnot for the next days, so be ready! I have so much to share about the BKK. First thing is, DRESS DOWN.

So Long, Summer

Today's the first of June! Time to say bye bye to hot summer days, and welcome the dark cloudy afternoons and wet soil. Rain will be coming any minute now!

Before I bring out sweaters, pullovers, and thick fabrics, I have to bare my flimsy arms for the last time and enjoy the remaining heat of what summer left here. It's the last time I'll be putting on sunblock!

What I'm wearing:

cut-out dress (Topshop) | denim vest (from HongKong) | stockings (H&M) | fringe necklace (Cinderella) | lace-up booties (Forever21)

On another note, please buy Chalk Magazine's June 2011 issue! :) Hope everyone's having a great first day of June!

Hot 'N Cold

Today has been a whirlwind of things. Poor Miss Retail (that's me) has been hungry like a growing baby and swamped with deadlines the whole day. I can officially bawl my eyes out now!

On a lighter note, I have been reading tweets today and a lot of people have been ranting about 1.) how hot the weather is outside, 2.) how cold the A/Cs are inside, and 3.) The RH Bill. I find it weird that people have been complaining about the temp on odd levels. Well, the heat is intense outside! But when I go inside the air-conditioner is in full blast, and in tune with LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem. What a way to tear my mind apart.

So here's what I wore to make me feel comfy inside air-conditioned shelters, and at the same time prevent me from sweating too much outside:

boyfriend polo (Forever 21) | cuffed shorts (Bluenotes) | braided belt (Forever 21)| elephant ring | slip-on block heels (Forever 21)

Stay away from the heat!

Block It Like Lego

Rio Mints launched their two new flavors through a collab with School of Fashion and the Arts students. I can't wait to share what transpired during the launch! But first, here's what I wore:

Hango-Birthday

St. Paddy's is done again, and so is my birth day! I was actually looking forward to celebrating it since it's my "Welcome to the Legal World" Day. Apparently, I had to celebrate my birthday wanting to go to bed with a woozy head. More on that later..

BUT FIRST! This is what I wore during my birthday dinner with my mini family:

gold neckpiece (Girl Shoppe) | vintage lace dress | socks (Forever 21) | flats (Aldo)

Military Utility

Busy days are here again, and it has been damaging my eyes, hair, and eating habits!

Well, not really damaging my eating habits. I've been munching at an average of 1 meal every 10 minutes- not kidding. So yes, tough times call for..

Don't Forget The Inner Pocket!

The local fashion industry right now is shakin' and bakin' because of the Dansen/BOBON/Puey Quinones hullabaloo.

I've been reading threads and pages that stated reactions from all sides. According to PQ's client, PQ was always "too busy" to meet with him and do the fitting. After the suit was delivered to client, PQ charged him Php 30,000 and he paid him for "his" work. Opening the delivered package, client discovered that his custom suit had two labels: BOBON by Puey Quinones, and a DANSEN tag inside the suit's inner pocket. What is Dansen? A brand carried by SM- a PH department store. If you check the dept, Dansen has a retail tag of Php 3,000. Sweet baby J!

While I sit back with my greasy popcorn and regular soda, all I can say is "Teh, ikaw naman kaseeeeeee!"  Hihi.

Dark Sheer + New Layout

I skipped one day of posting because of the hullaballoo that has been challenging my skills, which is my layout. Finally I've conquered the tricky tags and codes! The eye bags and mini pimple (ugh) are worth staying up late for me to finish this sweet skin for my little home online. My friend said it looks like a mom blog layout, though. But whatevs, I stayed up until 2am for this!

So a few days ago, we had a little chat with the Pond's online beauty ambassadors and Andi Eigenmann- the newest endorser of Pond's Clear Solutions. It was very light and fun! Never really expected that Andi is so animated and cute when she tells stories, and the bloggers just had to get the latest chika from her!

This is what I wore during the interview:

sheer eyelet top (Forever 21) | lace brassiere (La Senza) | cream trousers (The Young And Rusty) | gem ring (Forever 21) | wood wedges (Zara)

On a different note, what are you going to do this Valentine weekend? :)

Gold In The Spring

This is the time where everyone's brainstorming for cheeseball ideas and whack surprises because in a few days... IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY! The time of the year when people are bitten by the love bug and swelling with sweetness.

I'm pretty happy with the cold weather lately, never mind the V-Day hype. Not that I'm going to be cold (figuratively) this coming 14th, but I just love the wind chill. Maybe because I am so willing to exchange my Tempur pillows to be back in my 33rd street apartment.

Urban Creativity

I'm giving a two toe-thumbs up to Bonifacio Global City (BGC), one of the metro's rising cities. They have landscapes and public art scattered around the vicinity. Currently, there are 12 public art pieces all over BGC- remarkable works by Ben-Hur Villanueva, Leo Gerardo Leonardo, Reynato Paz Contreras, Juan Sajid de Leon Imao, Jerry Araos, Lor Calma, Ferdie Cacnio, Reg Yuson, and Conrado Velasco.

We were strolling around BGC one night, and saw this big green light installation near Mercato Centrale. It looked like alien sticks to me! It actually could pass as BGC's public art! ... Or maybe its their 13th piece!

Content With Negative Temp

Sorry I've been away from the web-sters for a couple of days. I was out of the city to be part of the most awesome celebration down south- SINULOG! I'll be writing about my crazy experience in Cebu Sinulog soon.

Is everyone experiencing the chilly weather in the city? I hope it stays this way forever! But not the rain though, I don't like getting my feet wet with puddle water. Ngrrr

While you're all floating in January's windy state, I'm keeping my skin warm under my snazzy new cardigan. It's not advisable for Spring weather because its material is very very VERY light. But I love it still!

Cheers to 2011!

2011 is just a few hours away! I do hope that everyone is now preparing their yummy feast that will be wolfed down in a snap. Since this is the last day before the great 2010 ends, I would like to thank my readers (I hope you guys grow in number heeee), those who attend our events (please attend MORE), the awesome and kind bloggers out there (you know who you are!), the pig in my heart, my superb friends, and everyone else in my life! 2010 wouldn't have been a crazy yet enjoyable rollercoaster ride without all of you.

Before the clock strikes 12 I will raise a glass for YOU, because you are such an awesomesauce. <3

*toot* yeaaaah 2011 HERE WE GO!
